We talked about this early on, thinking it might incent people to recruit
people because they would gain benefit from reduced rent.

I don't know how valuable this is in the long run.

Example: If someone works from your space and begins to form relationships
with coworkers, and them leaving effectively incurs costs on their new
friends, that's going to create some unnecessary social tension that I don't
think is good to have around a coworking space, and creates some bad blood.

Also, extrinsic incentives (like saving money) work once, sometimes twice,
but rarely keep people coming back. Intrinsic incentives (like amazing
collaborations, friendships, and fun work days) keep people around even when
it almost doesn't make sense for them to keep paying a membership.

Over 50% of our membership RARELY uses desks, but are involved as community
members in other ways (socially and educationally). Many of them have NEVER
used desks, but still stick around because of the extrinsic motivators to be
a part of IndyHall.
