Hi All, While the idea of just being more vigilant sounds great in theory, we've been saying that for almost a year and there's more spam than ever. I think anyone who's tried to clean up the spam can echo ruyoung's experience: it's ineffective and frustrating. In my own experience, vigilance just gets punished since the the removal of spam gets undone faster than we can fix it.
Tara, can you tell us what the next step would be to set up those barriers (no more comments and delete existing comments, administered access to edit the wiki, and get volunteers to be those administrators)? Or do we still need to discuss it more, and if so, how best to come to an agreement as a group (personally I'd be psyched if you just made an executive decision, but maybe because I agree with your proposed solution :)?
