Jordan,
I think renting out for event space is great for revenue and for
advertising. We always rent out our space but as long as we believe it
has something to do with what we are doing here at MiamiShared.com. For
any tech related event that we think our members would like to attend ,
we let them host here for a discounted price, the only rule being that
our members can attend for free. Also during the event the community
managers are always around and we promote the space for people who ask.
Also at least once or twice during the event, the organizers usually
give a shout out to us or let us make our own introduction. All and all
I really like renting out for events or hosting events period because it
draws more people in who might have never known we were here in the
first place.
