Historically, we've break our town halls into a few parts: *1) Introductions:*
Welcome, everybody says their name and something about them. "Things" have been anything from "one thing I'm interested in" to "I've been a member of Indy Hall for _______ (amount of time)" *2) How we think we're doing * This is a snapshot of accomplishments, milestones, etc. We include a profile of member growth, event highlights, outstanding member achievements, partnerships, etc. *3) How you think we're doing * We have a goal of making sure that each of our membership "strata" chime in. We've done this with various levels of structure/non-structure. Most structured = 3 people from each membership level, each with 2 things they think we're doing well and 2 things they think we could improved. Least structured = free-for-all :) *4) What's next* This is often a mix of stuff we planned to talk about, but we leave time for riffing on the topics that were brought up in #3. The objective is to leave on an actionable note, making it clear that between now and the next town hall, we've got work to do, together. -Alex /ah indyhall.org coworking in philadelphia On Mon, Feb 27, 2012 at 8:39 PM, Mike Pihlman <[email protected]>wrote: > We are planning a member meeting soon.... > > The objectives of this meeting are to: Meet everyone, air any issues > people may be having, get suggestions for moving forward as we grow (we ARE > growing!), to see if it might make sense to move to a larger space > (again!), and discuss any other issues / topics that come up.
