Replying to myself, I should note that I was told on IRC that the CPANPLUS subversion repository was: http://oss.dwim.org/cpanplus-devel/ And I filed a patch here: https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=47640 BinGOs' patch was already applied there.
