My idea is to have one calendar for resources and use the CPSCalendarTool API to search available resources, in this calendar. When a user allocates a resource, this resource will be marked as not available in the resources calendar.
This is easily done by setting up one calendar for each resource. Allocating events is just like creating events or inviting the resourse to a meeting.
I have modified the calendar_meeting_form to show the available resources, but now I don't know how can I save the selected resource in the calendar, any help?
You create a calendar and set the calendar type to Resource. You should not need to to modify the calendar_meeting_form for this at all, it's just a calendar type.
