Hi Jose Luis,
sorry for the delay, but I was on business trip last week.
First let me thank you for your help. I've read the blog and I have
few questions because I'm real close implementing this document
traduction mechanism, but there is still some strange behaviours.
So first I am not able to do the workflow set-up for some of the
workflows you've listed.
In the section_content_wf I can't find the "add_language_to_proxy"
in the translation call "translate" that I created. I have only a
"fixup_after_publish" option in the menu list.
Is it a problem ?
Yes. But you can fix it by importing the script add_language_to_proxy
to the workflow. For this take a look at the files in profiles/workflow.
I've done it.
It's OK for the three others workflows.
Then, when I read your blogs you say that you have an action call
"Create revision for translation" that I can't find in my action list.
Actually, the action is "Tranlate" and in the form that is displayed
there is a button labeled "Create revision for translation".
Ok it was a misunderstanding as it is not a new icon in the action bar
but a form that is displayed after you click the "New Translation"
action icon.
The problem is that though I'm able to create translation of a given
document and published it in my portal, I've find strange behaviours
when I try to roll translations of a given document in the workspace
by fliping the flags. The correct translation does not show up. To
do so I need to create a chekout revision and there I'm able to
roll translated version of the document by fliping the flags. I can
make changes and commit the revision, but I'm then not able anymore
to flip the different translations.
That why I say that it's still working but with strange and not easy
to manage document behaviours.
It' seems I miss one step (maybe the "Create revision for
translation" action button) to properly handle transaction process.
Do you have any idea fo fix this ?
Well, I tried to translate in a CPS 3.4.4 and found no strange
behaviours. Can you try the same in a new instance of CPS to know if
the problem is your instance?
In fact my CPS instance is a 3.4.0.1.
As a final result I am able to create, modify, publish and view
document on my CSP instance in French, English and Spannish.
The only drawback I'm facing is when I just create a translation of a
document, I cannot immediatly see this translation when I flip the
flags. To be able to view translation, I need first to click on the
"check out revision" button, make a revision and then I see the
translations when I flip the flags.
Do you have the same behaviour ?
No. I have never needed to use "check out revision" but I remember that
in CPS 3.4.0 a member of my team said to have problems with translation.
Does somebody in the development team of CPS know something about this??
Thanks.
On the other hand when I publish the document in sections, I can veiw
the different traduction correctly when I flip flags.
Thanks a lot !!!!
Lionel
Regards.
Thank you in adavance.

glad to give you poster permissions.

Hello JoseLuis,
As a reminder I've attached the thread of our former email
exchange concerning section translation for CPS. It currently
perfectly works and I was in the process of doing so for documents
I hope you will be able to answer my question as I did'nt find any
clues on the mailing list.
So I would like to know how to switch for a given document from a
translation (spanish) to another (english) or (french) in order to
be able to modify any of the given translation on purpose.
I am able toconsult each of the revision I make, when I look at
the history but when I view it I don't have the edit function as
an action. The reversion function does not help neither for that
matter. Am I missing something basic or do I need to change
something in the workflow ?
Any help would be greatly appricaited.
Thanx in advance.

Hello JoseLuis
Thank you VERY MUCH for your help. I've done the modifications
that you provided and it smoothly works.
I'm very gratefull for your fast and helpfull reply. I have now
to complete all the folders translation :-)
On your behalf I will point out your post in the french mailing
list with a translation in french for people who might encounter
the same problem.
Best regards,
Lionel

Hello Lionel,
The procedure I gave for translation in the mailing list is the
first task you should do to translate the titles of folders.
Once you follow those five steps:
1.- Go to the folder in sections which title you want to translate.
2.- Click the translate action, then choose the language and
finally write the new translated title.
Notice you can modify only the workflow section_folder_wf, if
you just want to translate sections' folders.
I hope this helps, it worked for us for the same version of CPS
you are using, however don't hesitate to ask.
Regards.

Hello Jose Luis,
I have read a post in the CPS mainling-list:
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.zope.cps.general/1306/match=translate
where you give a solution for translation. I would like to make
sure that this could solve my problem.
This web site: www.thermoptim.org is intented to provide
multilingual navigation (not a fully multilingual web site). As
you can see when you switch languages, the top folders (Bases de
thermodynamique, Enseignement, Glossaire, Logiciel, Problèmes
globaux, Technologies) and the one below are not translated
I've been able to translate some content by using text portlet
and the Localizer mechanism, but I 'am unable to find a way to
translate the title of those folders.
So, does the solution that you provided will help me to add this
features to my portal ?
Here is my config.
CPS 3.4.0-1
Zope 2.9.1
Python 2.4.3
Linux Red-Hat Ent. 3.4.5-2
Thank you by advance for your help.
Best regards,
Lionel
