Hi list,

can anybody please translate "coup de gueule" into English or German? I didn't find it in my newly bought French-German dictionary (Pons). I also only found "un beau gachis", and not "gachi". I'm trying to learn a little French just because of badly wanting to work with CPS. Paris vaut bien une messe. So please check your grammar when writing French letters in the English mailinglist.

I've been testing the 3.3.8.1 version and I'm very impressed. The bugs are great in quantity but not essential in quality. I wouldn't call it "un beau gachis", but rather a typically unpolished pre-beta on solid grounds. I'm convinced enough to start a commercial project based on Zope-2.9 and CPS-3.4 without having seen them. In nuxeo I trust.

What is really "un beau gachis" is the documentation of almost anything OpenSource I've touched so far. Zope 2, for instance, is a disgrace in this point. Scarcety and confusion of documentation is not a privilege of a CPS beta.

Below The Water: the Rheinland section of the German Zope User Group (dzug) will soon be publishing a German version of the CPS-3.2 manual which was so difficult to translate (and check the actual CPS features described in the French text) that in the end the German version became much better than the French original. We're planning to translate it back into French so that you'll finally get a usable manual for any version whatever, and, just imagine, in impeccable French! Just wait a little bit more.

Avons enfants du Zope.

Aroldo.
