Carrol you come rather close to negating the purpose of the
list here, surely? I think that if one doesn't organise
around contingencies like those you mention, which do after
all follow causally from the mode of production, then one's
notion of political organisation is rather abstract. What
the energy and ecological crises show is the unsustainabilty
of that mode of production and, not only the urgency of
superceding it, but the necessity for imagining a world
quite different, one in which a human future is conceivable.
If that's not your project then what are you doing here?
