always commit the bulk of one's forces to the main effort

Maneuver

the use of one's forces to limit the enemy's ability to effectively maneuver

In every operation, once in motion, there is one final authority who makes key
decisions about that operation and who accepts responsibility for them

Words to live by... ...

No one here is trying to start a war. It's already been started. There are
"peripheries" within five miles of where this is being composed, where the cops are an
occupying army, where there is no "civil discourse," where every fifth man is already
under lock and key, where economic sanctions of a sort are already killing people
every day.
