Hi folks,

(cross posted to cross-project-issues, planning-council, epp)

I propose we officially abandon an M2 release this week due to the ongoing
infra issue. As of now, no project except Eclipse SDK[1] has been able to
make an M2 contribution, the official deadline is the end of day today, so
unlikely all or most of the 70 simrel projects will be able to respond even
if we do get infra back soon. Additionally, the simrel CI instance is also
in a non functioning state[2].

Once things are running smoothly again (infra wise) we can decide whether
to do a late M2 release, or just wait until M3. My current opinion is to
abandon M2 and wait until M3.

Planning council reps, please do weigh in if you are not also on
vacation/holiday this week.

Thanks
Jonah

[1] Eclipse SDK projects contributed their M2 parts before the infra issue
last Friday.
