Hello folks, To follow up on this - as you have certainly noticed, the M2 was indeed canceled and not released.
Going forward we are not going to have an official delayed M2 release. M3 is in two weeks (starting with the Eclipse Platform contribution in just 10 days). There were some concerns raised (thank you for speaking up!) that some projects make M2 as their only milestone contribution, and indeed numerous projects have now made a contribution to SimRel ever since the infra all came back online. The SimRel and EPP workflows are completely automated and continuously integrated. Therefore projects that are contributing in M2 can test the integration and report back now without waiting for an official M3. The SimRel staging p2 repo for 2021-09 is: https://download.eclipse.org/staging/2021-09/ The EPP staging location is: https://download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/staging/ which contains the tars/zips for all the packages/platforms. It normally takes about 3 hours from when a commit is merged to SimRel for the new EPP to be ready. You can check https://download.eclipse.org/technology/epp/staging/ci-info.txt to know which job the currently staged EPP was built from. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, or if I can do anything to help ensure your contribution is stable and ready to go. Thank you and I look forward to a successful and ontime M3 coming up fast! PS. As for process - this seems to be the first time that a milestone has not been released. The planning council discussed this on the mailing list, and the IDE working group just concluded a call in which this decision was finalized. Hopefully we are getting the tradeoffs right.
