Could I make a small suggestion? Please don't be insulted, but you say
you're not good at this, which is fine -- you're new. It's pretty obvious
from what you've said that you have absolutely no idea how to make your car
faster, which is also fine because you haven't learned about that yet.l
But, knowing that you weren't good at it you decided that you needed an
intake and were determined to buy one. You had no real idea what an intake
does or how a different one would help (or hurt) your car's performance. If
I had to guess, you either read an ad somewhere that said intakes gave you
power or you have a friend somewhere that says his intake gave him power,
but you have no real technical data that actually says an intake gives you
power.

Could I suggest that you do some research about how cars work, and actually
LEARN what works and what doesn't before you haphazardly go buying parts
because you saw them in someone else's car? You don't have to take that
advice -- I wouldn't be insulted, but I can guarantee with just about 100%
certainty that if you don't learn how cars work you're gonna waste a LOT of
money doing pointless crap to your car.

this mailing list and crx-forum.org are both great places to learn about
cars. Were I you, I'd sit back and read everything I could about cars and
what mods work before I spent any money on upgrades.
