I just put in a short shifter just a month or two ago. It is a skunk2 
shifter and it is fantastic.
Just be cautious of buying a hollow aluminum shifter because they will snap.
Another good one to consider is the one from B&M. I think the DC, B&M, and 
Skunk2 are at the top of the price range. I haven't seen the DC one though. 
If I can recollect, I believe Mark H. had one installed in his GSR.

Ps. change the 2 shifter bushings at the same time with a poly kit from 
Energy Suspensions. Some short shifters have their own sealed bearings, 
(while the B&M pro shifter uses teflon bushings), so you don't have to 
remover/replace the bearings assembly and rubber "O" rings from the stock 
shifter.
