I just
wanted to point out that the car is free for whoever wants to come and get
it.

Subject: CRX: '88 DXI am very sorry to report that due to my move to California, I will have to give up my blue '88 CRX DX. I had intended to fix its problems, but have just run out of time here and don't want to transport the car cross-country. Therefore, I want to give other list-members a chance to rebuild(preferable) or salvage the car for usable parts.I am located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The car:Before I started "working" on the car, it started fine, but gave symptoms of a sticky-throttle valve while running. I have disassembled the air-intake hoses and throttle-body and have all these pieces in boxes. I took numerous pictures on my digital camera while I was disassembling the air-intake and throttle body, and I can give them to whoever ends up taking the car.The passenger-side door has a large dent in it when a burglar bashed it in trying to steal the radio. The plastic molding behind that window was also pried off. The rest of the car's body is in great condition. The interior carpeting is in poor condition. I am the second owner of the car, and to my knowledge the car has never been in an accident. The car has 186K miles on it.If you want the car you have to come and get it, all of it. I'd prefer to give the car to somebody who'll use it(for parts or to rebuild) as opposed to parting it out for a profit. If there are no takers I can just donate it to a charity. Please send me an email if you're interested: [EMAIL PROTECTED]I will be leaving MInnesota this Sunday, so it would be great it somebody could arrange something before then. I will be back in mid-august too, but hope to get this taken care of asap.Regards,Bryce-----Original Message-----

Subject: CRX: Fuel Pumps.I've been having a VERY hard time getting my rex to start lately, it's taken 5-10seconds of cranking to get it to light up from cold, and 3-5 from warm. SO I finally bit the bullet and got a new fuel pump from AutoZOne for $90, and threw it in. For the rest of you who are having trouble starting your cars,go through the diagnostics for the pump, and if it's what's bad, replace it, it's not very difficult to drop the tank and get to it, and you'll be amazed at the difference. My car now starts from cold in a single crank, and you just have to touch the starter when it's warm for it to fire.
