1) I don't have AC in my rex, but I do know that at full throttle the AC pulley disengages... maybe your ECU is getting a faulty signal, and thinking that your at full throttle, even if your just at a heavy load.
2)Thats pretty normal, it's supposed to stop you from locking your keys in the car.... does it work? If it did, I wouldn't keep a copy of my key in my wallet. is that tight steering at low speeds? If so, then thats to be expected... being a drummer, I don't notice it as much..... but for anyone else [ie: my girlfriend] i've had to help her with the wheel at speeds less than 15mph....
