hi,

hmmm ignitor? ill check that today...but the ecu has been throwing map sensor codes. i just need to tee off a line and that will be ok, but could that affect the start?

To my knowledge, it can.  It can also cause the engine to stall/die.

fuel pump...yes i did verify the yellow black wire that went to the fuel pump and i can hear it pressurize

main relay...i got a new one from napa and nothings changed.

grounds...i have grounds galore, must be the only thing im good at.

ignition switch...hmm i was thinking that this could be it, but i dont know how to check it, ive never took apart my steering colum, just seems like its full of stuff for me to screw up. but something to consider: i only have that single honda key in the ignition...no key rings or anything.

thanks for your help!

You're going to have to remove the lower dashboard panel first and you will need a meter that can check continuity or at least one that will do resistance (Ohm...).

(1) Disconnect the 4-P connector from the fuse box under the dash.  The wire colors should be:

        WHITE/RED (Accessories)
        BLACK/YELLOW (IG1)
        YELLOW (IG2-A)
        BLACK/WHITE (Start)

(2) Locate the 5-P connector on the main wire harness.  The wire colors should be:

        (a) WHITE/BLUE
        (b) BLUE/WHITE
        (c) BLUE/WHITE (IG2-B)
        (d) WHITE/BLACK (BAT-A)
        (e) WHITE/BLACK (BAT-B)

The connectors should look like this:

  [WHITE/BLUE] [BLUE/WHITE (IG2-B)] [BLUE/WHITE]

   [WHITE/BLACK (BAT-A)] [WHITE/BLACK (BAT-B)]

Or:

        (a) (c) (b)
          (d) (e)

(3) Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position:

Position O -

        None.

Position I -

        WHITE/RED (Accessories) and WHITE/BLACK (BAT-B)

Position II -

        WHITE/RED (Accessories) and WHITE/BLACK (BAT-B) and BLUE/WHITE (IG2-B)
        WHITE/BLACK (BAT-A) and BLACK/YELLOW (IG1) and YELLOW (IG2)

Position III -

        WHITE/BLACK (BAT-A) and BLACK/YELLOW (IG1) and BLACK/WHITE (Start)

If you're wondering how I remembered all of the above, I happen to have it written down in my Palm Pilot.  A friend had asked me a while back the pin outs and how to check...  I just never got around to deleting it from my Palm.  :^)
