Honda only sells the upper ball joint complete with the entire A-arm and
bushings. There were no signs of damage anywhere on it (except for a warn
ball joint) so it wasn't hitting anything. It's possible that this is
caused by the stiffer springs, but I have the same springs on all four
corners so I'd expect to get the same thing everywhere. I can hit bumps
on the driver's side and get the normal "you just hit a bump" sound. But
the passanger's side sounds completely different. It's more like two very
large metal things hitting eachother.
Maybe a loose shock bolt or something similar? I assume it doesn't sound like something's loose but rather a much more solid klunk or knocking sound?
I did notice that the LS tranny is very close to the frame rail. Has
anyone with an LS swap had problems with the transmission hitting the
frame rail?

Maybe transmission and/or engine mount?
