Okay,

I just got done doing a long list of jobs to the 'Rex yesterday & today.
Replaced the rear bearings (finally) and it drives nice & quiet now.
That's the good news, now the bad news: I replaced the front rotors
with Brembo's and slapped in some ceramic pads as well and the rotors
are scarring!

When I was installing the rotors, the calipers didn't want to sit
properly over the Brembo's in that the outer part of the caliper was
rubbing the rotor. I pulled the caliper and got out the Dremel and
ground down about a millimeter of mostly rust, then it cleared no
problem. After the first drive, I heard a *slight* rubbing noise which
I figured to be break-in sounds, then I checked the rotors and noticed
two distinct scars in the outer side of each rotor about 3/4 away from
the inner part of the rotor, not exactly where the caliper was
originally rubbing (inside's fine on both BTW). What the hell? Are the
Brembos too thick?! Have I destroyed the rotors in the 20 or so miles I
drove it today?
