One thing I forgot to mention was that upon closer inspection, it appears that they had to rig up a custom door latch. And it's so clean that you can't even see it on the door in that pic. If you look real close (I don't have a larger image), there's a black dot on the inside of the door (about where the stock wire loom would be). This could be where a locking rod (solenoid) would either enter or protrude from.
Again, it's hard to tell in the picture, but I wonder if they're using a second hinge on the lower part of the door to help it from sagging. I would think they did. And last, since they obviously had some custom work done to the door panel, why not shave the seat belt bracket in the door for a smoother/cleaner look? Unless they're using it as a secondary door handle. :^)
