I must admit, if anything its creative and fresh. Haven't seen anything similar, and its not a knock off of a mugen piece, so its got that going for it.
But in my book its just too gawdy looking. Vents everywhere and what not. I like a kit that compliments the line (a la Wings West RS kit) rather then one that takes the lines and puts them in the vice grip of death until they look like something totally different.

I agree with your statement about how a kit should compliment the lines of a car. But before I got into the Honda CRX scene, I was really deep in the VW scene (from the mid 1980s until 1998) and kits for the VW Bug's, for example, were not available. There were people that sold front spoilers, larger (fat) front and rear fenders and Porsche style whale tails. Other than that, we had to make our own kits.
And trying to do that on a car that has a lot of curves is a trick to say the very least (for which I am grateful looking back in retrospect because I learned how to do a lot of my fiber glassing and other basic sheet metal work during those times). So at many of the VW shows, there were kits even wilder and gawdier (Is that a word?) than what I've seen in the Jap Import scene.
But, if you break it down... it's the owners personal expression and that is what I respect. I don't have to like how it looks (whether it compliments or detracts from the lines of the car), just respect what the owner wanted to do with his or her car.
Getting back to the lines of a car... this is one of the reasons why I elected to sculpt my Wings West RS kit. When I bolted it on Jiggy, it looked OK. But it looked like a "kit" and it even gave it a sort of "boxy toy car" look. At least that's how it looked to me. So that's when I decided to spend the hours and sculpt it in and make it look as if it was "stock" from the factory. At the time (1998), I didn't see too many CRX's with the WW RS kit sculpted in... at least not down here in Southern Cali. Many owners just bolted them on and painted the kit to match.
When I was at CRXpo-99, there was two other CRX's with the same kit as mine and only one of the two was sculpted in.
To this day, people think that my kit is not a kit and that it came from the factory like that... I get some people that ask if it's a "Special Edition" CRX. :^)
As much as I like some of the things that the Black Widow kit has, I don't see myself getting one (not that I was thinking of getting another kit). But it has sparked some personal inspiration for ideas. Whether or not I act on them is yet to be determined.. :^)
The Wings West RS kit is a timeless and classic kit, IMHO.
