I think you guys might be misunderstanding what I need to replace... In

I need most of illustration #5.  The right and left sides to be exact.

Helps illustrate what I'm talking about.  There are two white dots to the
right of the headlight hole that I labled, those are spotwelds.  There are
also a couple areas that seem to be glued on.  You can see more detailed
pics of the damage here:

You can understand the confusion.. You started out by referencing the cross member and the image also makes you believe that that is what you are referring to.  :^)

So it's the right and left side bulk head pieces and not the lower cross member?  #1 and #4 in the illustration?

I've not done it on a CRX or even a Civic for that matter, but I did on a pervious car which was sort of the same and we had to cut the section out with a Saw-All type tool, then grind down the rest of the area and then weld in the new bulk head.

On this car, we had to get the exact measurements before welding them in place which we got from a local body shoppe where we knew the owner and he happened to have this info handy.

I think the Helm actually gives a drawing with measurements but I don't know what the measurements are and if it will be of any use... I only glanced at it a long time ago.  You may want to purchase the Helm Body Repair manual ($40?) .  I've been meaning to order this manual for myself to assist with some custom body mods that I had planned for Jiggy.

Best of luck!
