Well, Wikipedia states Gitorious was discontinued two days ago, so it
should be off the list.

I think GitHub provides a nice UI so people can actually see what we're
doing (was kinda hard with SourceForge) and it provides some nice
features concerning PK-based commits and is well-accepted. I think
nobody will blame us (the community) for migration to GitHub. I also
think if people find the Repo on GitHub they'll think: "That must be it
cause it's on GitHub and nearly every project's there!". That is a trend
I experience. Usually I really prefer GitHub projects because they're
easy-to-use more than less often and even MS & OpenWhisperSystems go
with it.
(One may notice I'm sort of a fan of GitHub...)

So what do we expect from a hoster?

  * It should offer free public (accessible) Repos.
  * All commits need to be done by an authorized set of users (Wei +
    delegates)
  * It should be well-known, so people think it's something "official",
    f.ex. SourceForge was well-known.

AFAIK GitHub offers all the above while offering the best reputation.
If they'd do something like SF did, more well-paid companies (=MS,
f.ex.) would be really angry...

Conclusion: If this was a democrcacy (which it isn't for good reasons)
I'd vote for GitHub.
