Hi,

The university of Aachen (Germany) is prepared to host a conference
for us. We don't have any details yet but it will most likely take
place in the summer of 2006 and most likely it will be two days. There
are several things that we would like to organize there:

- Talks about CS and CEL.
- Talks about projects using CS. i.e. here I would love to see members
of other projects talk about how they are using Crystal Space in their
own project.
- Tutorial sessions. For example, how to use blender+blender2crystal.
Working with CEL.
- Other types of work shops
- Demo session. i.e. places where people can demonstrate what they
have made with CS.
- Informal talks and such.

Of course it is a great opportunity to meet each other and talk to the
CS developers.

The university of Aachen will give us the rooms for the conference and
the needed hardware (hundreds of machines with good 3D hardware and
linux on them). They will also take care of catering (for sandwishes
or whatever) and possibly they can try to arrange cheaper places to
stay.

My question to the community is to have an idea about how many people
would be interested in going to such a conference. Also how many
people would be interested in giving a talk or having a booth where
they can show demonstrations of their project.

If we have a few finished/semi-finished networked games using CS we
can even setup some places where people can play them. The computers
in Aachen are all on a 100Mbit lan so this should be no problem.

So please let me know.

Greetings,
