Hello Jorrit, I'm officially not part of the CS team, but as I'm using CS for my project (Festonia) I'd like to contribute in some way. I'm not that good in C++ programming, however, I can write manuals pretty well. Likewise, I could be a member of, or lead of the "PR" team, that's just my kind of work.
The problem regarding tutorials would be that I'd need a lot of technical help. I could suggest right-away that if I can have a channel (like a specific forum or something)where I could make technical inquires and the Development team helps me, I could start with improving current official documentation, it has lots of mistakes/confusing parts. Other people could also send me their tutorials which I could improve (in layout/spelling mistakes etc..) and put the right tutorials in right places and perhaps also sometimes merge tutorials dealing with same topics. As for the Wiki, my opinion is that very likely majority of the people dont know they can edit. However, there is also another very logical reason why we dont get so many community-contributions there, namely that the basic documentation that comes with CS is poor (compared with OGRE), and the learing curve is very high... So majority of people have hardly enough time understanding/implementing CS for their own projects, let alone start writing about it. I can predict confidently that if the official documentation is improved considerably, it would have a very positive effect on contributions by users. It would really be nice to have one or more people in the CS team dedicated to this. i.e. it would be lovely if we could have a kind of technical 'PR' team :-) Any volunteers here?
