this comes from app named 'NatureScene' (can't find link now),
this are surely billboards (at last from what I saw in code). They have
much more dense grass and it 'takes' also less cpu.

thanks, I know it can, but it works a bit slow. I was thinking about
less general solution:

 new mesh type that will put all grass quads to one render buffer +
 shader that will handle billboarding and maybe wind. The hard part is
 that I will need billboarding/wind matrices. Do you think it will work faster?
