I quickly checked it out when I found it in a bookstore while visiting US recently, but my quick impression is that it actually isn't providing anything really new (to take the sample chapters, the relaxed cone mapping is based on the cone mapping previously presented and improvements discussed on latest GDC, while the fluid simulation one previously was presented on this years GDC).
So, I'd say its a good book if you don't follow the development very closely, otherwise there's nothing new. That said, it would be great to have some of this implemented using CS, otoh nobody have yet picked up the long list of interesting topics from GDC this year, GDC last year, SIGGRAPH this year etc.. so I would be surprised if this made any difference whatsoever. -Marten (who waits for patches to prove him wrong) Quoting Juhana Sadeharju <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > Hello.
