My friend went to Siggraph and he bought me the CDs (his Supervisor presented a paper). I haven't gone through the papers yet but if you see anything interesting and want the full version please let me know.
Also, if there's something interesting that you wanted implemented I would be happy to try it out.

From: "Marten Svanfeldt (dev)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>up the long list of interesting topics from GDC this year, GDC last year, SIGGRAPH this year etc.. so I would be surprised if this made any difference whatsoever.
The papers can be hard to understand. It may be hard to find volunteers to implement the algorithms to a specific engine. Gems type books are usually easiest to understand. Siggraph papers seems to require a Ph.D. But I check the papers every year: what siggraph paper you had in mind? We could pick up the free sample chapter on cone mapping and check together (anyone of you).
-Marten (who waits for patches to prove him wrong)
Waiting patches has been proven to be wrong approach to encourage people to develop. OK. I got the GPU Gems 3 book free. I also have hours to give out if you need help in checking details or do something under your guidance. Juhana
