New Enterprise Development Grants Announced by NZTE New Zealand Trade and Enterprise has this week announced the launch of its new grant scheme for small and medium businesses. It is very similar to the previous Enterprise Awards Scheme run by Industry New Zealand. It is open to businesses or entrepreneurs employing less than 20 full-time staff or with turnover of less than $5 million, and can pay 50% of a range of external costs. The maximum grant is $20,000 per year.
The main difference between the old Enterprise Awards Scheme and the new Enterprise Development Grants is that some funding is now available for mentoring and for management and technology-based training, and that the costs of market research done by NZTE are NOT eligible. Details and forms for the scheme are on www.nzte.govt.nz <http://www.nzte.govt.nz> For further information and free advice on how to apply contact Graham Allely on 353 6854. cheers James __________________________________________ James W.
