I've no idea, Carol, but it's been happening to me too. Highly frustrating. One email I sent on Friday took four days to appear in the contact's in-box. And a couple weeks ago I sent a test message to myself to try and figure out if something was wrong with my system and the email arrived 2 days later, then again 4 days later, and again a week later!!   Something seriously odd is going on.
