Why do you think monetizing players is an ingorant thing to do?
I don't monetize my players. I build community. Unified label
for CS, BF, DayZ and whatever-you-want servers. And it's freaky
annoying to see game's producer mess up things you've built for at
least 2 years. They don't even care anymore to send us us a message
about upcoming patch or changelog.

Generally it just depends from the common noise made. A lot of
people boycotted l4d2, they responded quite swiftly. If a
clanplayer says something and has 2000 followers, they will react
quite fast. If non existant server running dude says something
here, they will not pay attention unless you mail directly a flaw
to them that is critical or they seem appropriate to comment
something said here.
Don't expect that they obey you an answer, because they don't.
It's not like you are paying for this service. However, it would
be nice once a while to know they aknowledge the work we do for
them, for free instead of getting the "talk to the hand" attitude.
Anycase, raging doesn't help anyone, politeness will result to
better results.

I don't think it matters at all how you say something here.
The respond is always the same from Valve - nonexistent.

I'm not exactly sure why you think I've never seen "big boy
words", I'm pointing out that a completely block-paragraphed,
run-on filled, diatribe of swear words is pretty easy to
ignore; especially when you can get the same exact message 20
times over by visiting the steam forums.
I agree that things are not good, but hurling insults really
isn't constructive at all - when has it ever been?
Also the note about "Valve is literally stealing players from
community servers". Lower player count sucks but this costs
you how much? Are you making money off your users or do you
just like to see your server always full? Having an empty
server and having a full server means no real difference in
the bill you get at the end of the month. If you /are/ somehow
monetizing your players (which I don't think anyone here is
ignorant enough to do) - please fall off a bridge.

Small feature? Valve is literally stealing players

community servers. Community server operators can't
deliver all game features despite the fact they
host THE
SAME game. Some players tend to treat them worse
compared
to official servers because of this. The only
technical
advantage we have is better tickrate (at least some of
us), but I'm afraid it's only a matter of time -
Valve can
easily repeat Counter-Strike: Source scenario.

Wow, this is so not the place for a rant like
this.
While your sentiment is not super far
off-base, your
delivery is overly insulting and the entire
diatribe
just is so crass nobody is going to take
anything in
here with any true seriousness.
Dropping the f-bomb multiple times and
proclaiming the
devs have "taken a shit" on you is not how you
raise
serious concerns to ANY group of people.
I cannot see the "partnering dedicated server"
issue
being the reason for this rant, because TF2
has done
something similar for the Mann Up mode, having
rewards
only obtainable on official servers. At least
I hope
this entire rant wasn't spawned over such a
small feature.

This may be dumb question, but what is
"partnering dedicated server"? Changelog:
Release Notes for 7/2/2014
[OPERATION BREAKOUT]
- Missions will now properly reward
progress
on partnering dedicated servers.
- Fixed graphical glitch with water on
cs_rush
and de_overgrown when shader detail is
set to
medium or low.
[GAMEPLAY]
- Fixed the Tec-9 weapon script.
[MISC]
- Fixed a rare crash when updating the
scoreboard.
- Zooming out of a sniper scope on a
map that
doesn’t have a post processing entity
will no
longer cause a circular visual artifact.
