I haven't played much MVM, but I've seen similar arguments being made about communities, particularly comparisons between tf2 and l4d(2), claiming l4d players would be worse. Then with MVM I had the impression that it is not necessarily the game itself (although f2p really counts for something as you said), but the pressure on the individual players (the competitive edge and the lower player count) that makes gameplay annoying and stressful, and therefore influences the impression you might have of other players?

I would give maybe a slight edge in the "annoying" and frequency factor to TF2, but if I happen to encounter them in either, they're usually about the same in terms of annoying. If they're at least trying to contribute to the game (such as making calls), then I can forgive them, but if they're blabbing random crap, it's a mute and an F1 to any kicks initiated, especially if I tell them "hey, please consider knocking it off" beforehand if I feel nice.

Csgo pubs are full of kids or adults that haven't matured. Everyone can get a 10 bucks paysafecard these days at their local drug store or gas station instead of what most kids do with their money anyway: Somehow spend it on alcohol and cigarettes. So far I haven't noticed a difference. But it could be because immaturity surfaces more in csgo due to the competitive setting. So yeah, there could be more kids in tf2, but I happen to find them more annoying when I play csgo.

I have, and I notice far, far more kids on TF2 than in CS:GO still, probably because the former is free and the latter is $15 on regular price. Again, price barrier: mom or dad is going to say "no Timmy, you're not going to use our card to buy stuff!".

Most games are filled with the demographic you outlined. Have you ever played any game on pub servers these days? I hope not, I hope you never will. Stay happy for both of us. lol
