I think the webapi key does something different. This token you are generating today is just to be placed in the server config file. It means that if I add your server to my favorites, but then you change your server to a new IP address, it will automatically update in my favorites list without you having to do any work. (All you would have to do is make sure you place the key in the server config of your new server.) If it's anything like TF2's, and my understanding is correct, you don't actually NEED this function. It's just there to update people's favorites lists should IPs change.
