I agree with Mr. Sparber on this one. CSS is not a fast learn. Its a fun learn though, if you approach it that way. Its also not something that you learn on the fly just to accomplish a site that you need to get into css. It takes work and dedication to learn this, but its totally worth it.

CSS is quite simple to learn, its all logic.
the only catch is the browsers behave differently so that requires different and slightly complicated techniques than what you normally think of.

It does take time. It takes some experimenting.

For more help on your CSS, there is this mailing somewhere, based on CSS - im unsure of its name ;) And almost every IRC server has a #html channel from where you can get some help.
