Well, that explains it. I've never worked for any organization that uses Office 2007. (And I've worked for some very big organizations in the education, health insurance and health care fields.) I've never encountered a Powerpoint 2007 format file in the wild, so have never had any need for the MS Powerpoint viewer (OpenOffice opens the Office 2007 files just fine).
