I apologize if this is considered off-topic, but it's here that I find people talking most about validating pages. I am trying to find out why my documents are validated as "Tentatively checked as HTML 4.01 Strict" with warnings about "No Character Encoding Found! Falling back to windows-1252". I have tried reading information about character encoding, but anything I add causes the page not to validate at all. I'm not sure what to add to make the page validate completely. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
