I would say that most answers given apart from David Laakso's answer
were way off the mark. Your question was regarding "the most common
quirks for different browsers/versions."
There is to my knowledge, there is no such definite list apart for IE7
and earlier versions. The best list cross browser is by Gérard Talbot.
