Sounds like a good idea to me.

Perhaps CTJUG members who are interested in becoming "new" committee members
should nominate themselves, and then after all the nominations are in, the
CTJUG members can vote on which nominations should become committee members.

It also has to be decided how many committee members there will be, and
perhaps what their roles will be.

After the committee members have been selected, they vote amongst themselves
to determine who will be chairman, secretary etc.

The above process is used during the formation of a Home Owners Association.

Kind regards,
Enrico

Hi all

Here is a conversation that needs your input as it concerns the future
running of the jug. Read from the bottom up and fire away :)

Excellent - thanks for reminding me about Jeff.

I would like to propose that we put it to the CTJUG to nominate
a new committee and to have an undertaking to do that at least
once a year.

This will allow new people to contribute, and also allow existing
members to gracefully exit.

For the size of group that we have, we might need to register a
non-profit organisation (by law), which should have a constitution
that explicitely lists these things.

Kind regards from

Heinz
