We received this notice today from Ingram. Because our ordering year for system funds has ended, this will affect your library if you are continuing to order from Ingram using local funds. Ingram is one of the vendors who will be our general book supplier for the next fiscal year, so the implications go beyond August 31, 2001. --Laurie ***** June 12, 2001 Dear Valued Customer, Earlier this year, we changed your distribution center assignment to balance our distribution network. We're making an additional change on June 22 which will result in identical or in some cases improved delivery and afford us a change to better use our distribution network. Your new primary distribution center will be Ft. Wayne, Indiana and your secondary distribution center will be La Vergne, Tennessee. You will still have the same order cut-off time to meet same-day shipping - 11 am. (this next paragraph was in bold, but I can't do that in my e-mail.-L.) We will switch your Primary Distribution Center assignment at the start of business on June 22, 2001. If you use electronic ordering and specify orders by Ingram distribution center, please change your system on June 22 to reflect the new assignment to Ft. Wayne as primary and La Vergne as secondary.
