Lampasas still charge just 5 cents per day on books, but $1.00 per day
on audio and video materials. We charge 10 cents on all copying and
printing from the public computers, whether it is black and white, or
color. I know this doesn't begin to cover the cost of the color
cartridges, but it makes the math a lot easier.

Our staff is currently reviewing our fee schedules to determine what, if
any, changes need to be made. In particular, we are still charging on
10 cents per day for overdue materials, yet the costs associated with
sending overdue notices have risen dramatically over the years. As far
as I can determine, Killeen has not updated the overdue fee in 15 years.

We also charge 15 cents per page to make copies, which we think is too
much. I unsuccessfully tried to have this lowered to 10 cents a few
years ago, and I'm ready to try again since we have several new members
on the City Council.

I would appreciate hearing from the CTLS members what your overdue and
copy charges are.

Thank you in advance,

Deanna
