Two taskforces to address the issues of the public library standards/minimum criteria for system membership and the implementation of the public library development study have been appointed by TLA President Eva Poole and State Librarian Peggy Rudd.
The standards taskforce chairman is Dale Fleeger, coordinator of the North East Texas Library System. The chairman of the study taskforce is Julie Todaro, Dean of the Austin Community College libraries.

On these websites you will find the rosters for the taskforces, their charges, information on how to subscribe to the electronic list set up for each taskforce (to facilitate discussion in the library community), and documents related to their work.
