TO ALL ILL STAFF ON THE CTLS LISTSERV We are now live with ILLIad. Thanks to all for your help and patience over the past few months. Now we begin the real work of learning the new system. One of the wonderful features of the new system is the automatic emails to communicate with the customers. Many of you have received cancellation notices and notices that tell you your loan has arrived. Do not worry about the hold for pickup statement on the loan arrival notices. All material will go out in the mail to area libraries as usual. Since the letters will go out to our customers as well the letter has the canned hold for pickup statement. This particular notice is an automatic email which I can not view or change before emailing so you will receive them with that statement. Please note in the case of two titles or more, the notice will not give the titles, only the number of titles sent. At this time, the arrival notices will only go out in the case of Austin Public supplied material. You will not receive a notice for titles that come from other lending libraries. The TexNet group has not decided how to handle the area shipped items in ILLiad. At this time, only Austin and Houston Public are live with ILLiad so it may be much later before we decide on how to handle shipped items coming from other lending libraries. Bottom line, you will receive email notices for items shipped from APL, but no email notices for items shipped from other libraries. The ILL staff here are working to accommodate our new system.
