I also wonder why we are so annoyed by cell phone use,
which is often no louder than a conversation. If the
conversation becomes disruptive to other users, then
step in and ask that the call, or conversation, be
taken elsewhere. The issue should be disruption of
others, not specifically the cell phone. If someone
comes to a service desk and is talking on the phone,
I'd say to them that I'll serve someone else until
they are ready and "allow" them to step aside and
complete their phone call while I help someone else.
