Subject: Dear Texas librarian colleagues: I am conducting a survey of

Internet filtering policies

Dear Colleagues:

I am conducting a survey of Internet filtering policies, challenges, and

attitudes among Texas librarians. This is the second iteration of the

survey. You may have participated in my first survey in 2006. This survey

will document filtering policy changes and challenges during the calendar

year 2007. The results will be published in the Texas Library Journal.

This study is part of my doctoral research at the School of Information,

University of Texas at Austin. It is supported by the Texas Library

Association and the San Marcos Public Library.

I hope to conclude the survey period May 1, 2008.
