When a patron applies for a Library Card we have them fill out a postcard that we mail to them. This is to verify their address. Until the patron brings the postcard back to the Library they cannot checkout any materials. We do have exchange books that can be taken out without a card. This has reduced the number of materials that are never returned, because those patrons who give the wrong address never take out any materials. Limits 5 books for adults, 3 for children. 3 per nonfiction subject, 3 videos per family, 2 new books at a time, 3 per author.
