-Caveat Lector-
Amendment 1 of the Constitution states:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or
of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to
petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
For those who can read, Congress cannot pass such a law abridging freedom of
speech, but if "we the people" let them... they will pass it. Until we stand
up for our rights, they will be taken away from us.
How many people reading this have ever written their Congressperson, or even
sent an email? Or, voted to oust those in office who take our rights from us.
What, you say all the people running for office aren't worth voting for...
then, run for office, don't "let George do it," George isn't around. Take
your responsibility as a citizen of this country seriously and get involved.
Regards,
Bob Stokes
