I think it's time to remind all you " republic "- ans that THIS is a
republic. And I know you don't think this is so great.
A democracy is harder for elites to control.
America ceased to be a full republic
part 1 after the civil war with the centralisation of political power in
washington
part 2 after the centralisation of economic power during Roosevelt
its the limitation of government that is the key.
There ultimately is no perfect form of govt. America was great because of
its people.
