Okay - back in 1967 I spent an entire day with a Prince from Saudi
Arabia, who rolled in with a rock and roll bandin a Mercedes.......we
took him all over our city, and he wanted to see of all things, our
Sewge Plant.....which I called green acres. Beautiful cannon flowers in
bloom, and a beautiful spot; the local employees took great pride in
this place.
At the dinner, we had a chance to talk to the young prince. They
murdered his father, the King, shortly thereafter - as I recall it was a
Black Nationalist from Berkeley.
Anyway - he invited us all to Saudi Arabia, and I understand at the
time, this was a difficult place to go unless on pilgrimage. His name
was Prince Turki Faisal - however, he was short.
Prior to the actualy dinner, his father made a remark about the Zionists
which really hit the fan; everyone was cancelling dinners....for the
kIng that is, and the young prince as well.
The State Department had sent flags.....we went ahead with the dinner.
The one thing I remember the young Prince saying was that the domestic
jew and the domestic moslem, got along fine; tht it was outside
interferance from the European Zionist causing the problem; and that is
why, the King got into trouble when he said more or less, he hated
Zionists.
Well, in the end, the Jewish War Veterans came to our aid, as I thought
perhaps we would be run out of town, and burnt at the stake or
something....they did not blame the young prince, for the words of his
father.
However, the King was murdered, his brother took the throne, and our
young prince who was the chosen one to take the throne ended up with a
lot of oil and money, but denied his rightful place.
As for the girlscouts.....never did trust anyone that looked like
something out of Hitler's Children....no wonder someone stole their
cookies.
Know anyone in Saudi Arabia these days or ever hear what happend to the
young Prince Turki Faisal?
