-Caveat Lector- About 20 years ago I made up this little song, to be sung by a idealist in tie-died clothes. I visualized her singing in a trembling voice, accompanying herself with a guitar.

So much foolish activism, as demonstrated by this article, is encouraged by who? Why? So it makes the newspapers and the net. So what! Does anyone think that the leadership of organizations who can understand what NATO is doing, what the EU is, the role of the UN or any of the many capital letter groups really can be influenced by this kind of stupid activity? Today demonstrations against the potential war in Iraq are taking place in many cities. So what purpose do they serve? Probably to convince the unknowing that if war is avoided, things will go back to what they think is normal: we in the US will have an wonderful economy, compared with third world countries, bringing us the economic blessings we have enjoyed. Nobody will be killed. Somehow money will flow from the US to all of the needy places in the world. All of this will happen because of good thoughts. Right! Well, these nice people here in the US had better recognize that the One World, New World Order larger plan is for the material world they enjoy to be replaced by New Age "feel good" spirituality and sexual freedom. They can diddle away while eating a limited diet and living in shared apartments. The economic perks will be for only some. Bush and company may be bringing in more and more governmental control over our lives. This is a work in progress however. It has been going on for many years and he is only the head of the operation now. The larger picture right now is who will have more power in the One World Government developing, the US and its allies or the EU.
