I pulled out the book, it looks like the incident at age l2 was not this one.
I can't find where that one was.
According to the Carr book, paperback version, Chapter "Was Hitler Demon
Possessed", pp. 73ff, he went to Wagner's opera, "Rienzi", at the Linz Opera
House in November, l904. In l938 Hitler said, looking back at that opera,
"In that hour it began" (citing Augustin Kubizek, "The Young Hitler I Knew",
Houghton Mifflin Co., Boston, l955)
He was at Pasewalk, Germany Military Reserve Hospital in Oct and Nov l9l8
diagnosed as probable hysteria. He at that time heard voices saying
providence had selected him to rid Germany of Jews. This corroborated a
prophecy he'd received as young man in Linz.
Sorry I read this years ago, I looked and can't find the part where he
purposely invited Satan into his soul, I know it is there.
